18:5 “Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives
Me.”
We believe that all children are a gift from
God to their parents, families, and the church. Through the ministry of
the church, we are called to welcome them into the family of Christ as
Jesus welcomed the little children. We will seek to provide a safe and
caring environment where they can flourish and grow in wisdom, health,
and faith, helping them to discover their God given gifts and use them
to serve Christ.
Ministry to Children begins at birth and continues
through grade 5.
SUMMER SCHEDULE - June 6 through
September 5
One Worship Service
at 10 a.m.
There will be infant through
three year old care in Room 6 during the entire worship service and
PrimeTime for children ages four through grade 2 who will leave
mid-service.
PrimeTime is a special
children’s program, in room 17 during the second half of the worship
service. Children attend worship with their family and then leave with
their teacher before the Scripture reading for a lesson, activity,
refreshments, and play.
Chapel Choir:Chapel Choir is a singing group
for children in kindergarten through grade 6 which practices on
Tuesdays from 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, from September through
May. Chapel Choir sings at the 11:00 a.m. church service on the second
Sunday of every month from October through May and also sings at the
8:30 a.m. service the second Sunday in March. Besides learning music for
the Sundays the choir sings, they learn a Christmas musical for the 3:30
p.m. Christmas Eve service.
Praise Partners:
a worship education program for children in kindergarten through grade
2. Children attend worship with their parents and leave with their
teacher after the children’s message during the 11:00 a.m. worship
service from September though June. Sunday School:September through
end of May, 9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
Classes
for children ages 3 through grade 5 begin with combined opening worship.
Children go with their teacher to age-appropriate classes.
PrimeTime:
during the summer available mid-service for children ages 4 through
grade 2. Older children are encouraged to attend worship with their
family.
Vacation Bible School: There is
a one week VBS in July for all children from the church and community
who turn five before September 1 up through those who have
finished 5th grade.
Nursery
care: September through May, 9:15 a.m. - noon. June through
Labor Day Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Nursery Care
is provided by a paid staff member assisted by volunteers. Nursery Plus:
for children of Supplee Nursery School who have been in the 3's, 4's or
Pre-K class. The basic format of the daily program includes the fun and
activities of the traditional Nursery School agenda, but places
additional emphasis upon Bible stories and songs. For more information,
