Center for Parent and Youth Understanding

Walt Mueller - Lancaster, PA

The Center for Parent/ Youth Understanding (CPYU) ministry was founded in 1989 by Walt Mueller, both a former member and a past youth minister at Supplee. This nonprofit organization builds bridges across one of society’s biggest gaps, the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers. As any parent knows, teen culture is complex, changing fast, difficult to navigate, and confusing for all involved.

CPYU works to equip parents, youth workers, grandparents, educators, and all others who care about kids to become cross-cultural missionaries, taking the unchanging Gospel to the emerging generations as they grow up in a rapidly changing world. CPYU holds seminars (both live and virtual), conferences, distributes printed resources and books, hosts podcasts and a daily one-minute radio spot, and maintains CPYU websites. `
